During the Finnish continuation war in 1942 a Russian pilot Lt. Nikolai Belinsky harassed a Finnish airport in Tiiksijärvi daring fighter planes to fight him. The Finnish AA however managed to shot down the Wolf and the plane was salvaged by the Finns. There is no clear data about the fate of Belitsky, some sources tell that he committed suicide, some tell that he was captured. The Wolf on Viena got it’s name from the white wolf painted in the rudder of the plane. (Viena is a place in western Karelia)
